Ce que les élèves produisent ne disparaît pas : une publication et une affiche collective restent dans l'école, et le toolkit pédagogique reste entre les mains des enseignant·e·s.
What the students produce does not vanish: a publication and a collective poster stay in the school, and the teaching toolkit stays in the teachers' hands.

Sport et Art Léman est un projet vaudois de médiation culturelle. Les écoles du canton créent et exposent dans leurs propres murs, autour du patrimoine olympique et artistique, avant une exposition collective à Lausanne, Capitale olympique, réunissant tous les établissements participants. Sport et Art Léman is a cultural mediation project in the canton of Vaud. Schools in the canton create and exhibit within their own walls, around Olympic and artistic heritage, before a collective exhibition in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, bringing together every participating school.
Le projet ramène délibérément une époque sans numérique. Tout est fait à la main, sur papier, sur toile ou en volume, et se regarde en vrai — aucun écran n'intervient, à aucune étape. Dans le monde d'aujourd'hui, l'enfance se passe largement devant un écran et largement immobile ; c'est précisément ce que ce projet vient contredire. The project deliberately brings back a time before the digital. Everything is made by hand, on paper, on canvas or in three dimensions, and seen in person — no screen is involved at any stage. In today's world, childhood is spent largely in front of a screen and largely without movement; that is exactly what this project sets out to contradict.
Ancré dans la Capitale olympique, le projet a l'ambition de devenir la référence liant sport et art à l'école dans la région lémanique, canton après canton. Anchored in the Olympic Capital, the project aims to become the reference linking sport and art in schools across the Léman region, canton by canton.

Ouvert à toutes les classesOpen to every class
Le projet est ouvert à toutes les classes de la scolarité obligatoire, de la 1re à la 11e année. Aucune catégorie d'âge, aucune répartition par degré : tous les niveaux participent aux mêmes conditions, chacun avec les moyens de son âge.
The project is open to every class of compulsory schooling, from year 1 to year 11. No age categories, no split by grade: all levels take part on the same terms, each with the means of their own age.

Le projet ne traite que d'objets physiques, faits à la main, exposés dans un espace réel et vus en personne. Une œuvre par élève. No digital medium, at any stage of the artistic process: no photography, no video, no screen-based work, no online gallery. The project deals only in physical objects, made by hand, exhibited in a real space and seen in person. One work per student.
Une continuité sur les six mois du programmeA through-line across the six months of the programme
Ce n'est pas une intervention isolée. De janvier à juin, un·e olympien·ne reste en contact avec la classe : le lancement se fait en personne, dans l'école, pendant le cours ou lors d'un rassemblement organisé par l'établissement ; suivent une à trois interventions selon les besoins de l'école ou de la classe ; puis l'exposition scolaire ; et enfin l'exposition collective à Lausanne, Capitale olympique. This is not a one-off intervention. From January to June an Olympian stays in contact with the class: the launch happens in person, at the school, during class or at a school gathering; then come one to three interventions according to the needs of the school or the class; then the school exhibition; and finally the collective exhibition in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital.
La continuité de ce projet assure le lien entre le sport et l'art. The continuity of this project secures the connection and the link between sport and art.
Quatre étapes simplesFour simple steps
L'enseignant·e inscrit sa classe (formulaire ci-dessous). La participation est gratuite. The teacher registers the class (form below). Taking part is free of charge.
Dès janvier, selon les besoins de l'école, un·e olympien·ne vient en personne dans l'établissement — pour lancer le projet ou lors de l'exposition scolaire. From January, according to the school's needs, an Olympian comes to the school in person — to launch the project or at the school exhibition.
Les élèves créent en classe, d'après les recommandations du programme, que les enseignant·e·s reçoivent sous la forme de deux kits. The students create in class, based on the programme recommendations, which teachers receive in the form of two kits.
L'école monte son exposition et choisit, selon ses besoins, un cours de sport optionnel avec un·e olympien·ne — à tout moment entre janvier et mai. The school stages its exhibition and chooses an optional sports class with an Olympian according to its needs — any time between January and May.

Les œuvres choisies par les écoles se réunissent en une exposition publique à Lausanne, Capitale olympique ; la publication et l'affiche collective sont remises à chaque établissement.
The works chosen by the schools come together in a public exhibition in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital; the publication and the collective poster are handed to each institution.
Six mois, de janvier à juin. Ces cinq phases se suivent dans cet ordre, chaque école les cale sur son propre rythme. Six months, January to June. These five phases follow one another in this order, each school sets them to its own pace.

The teaching toolkit
Le manuel d'un·e olympien·ne, écrit à l'intention des enseignant·e·s. Il se lit en deux parties, l'art et le sport :
An Olympian's manual, written for teachers. It reads in two parts, art and sport:
- L'art — des exercices et des travaux d'art inspirés du sport, l'histoire de l'art des Jeux olympiques, le matériel sportif utilisé comme matériel de peinture, l'expression abstraite des termes du sport.
- Le sport — des recommandations pour inspirer les enseignant·e·s : comment ouvrir le cours par la respiration, la méditation, la visualisation, l'imagination, l'échauffement oculaire, et bien d'autres aspects.
- Art — exercises and art assignments inspired by sport, the art history of the Olympic Games, sports equipment used as painting equipment, the abstract expression of sports terms.
- Sport — inspirational recommendations for teachers: how to open the class with breathing, meditation, visualisation, imagination, ocular warm-ups, and much more.
Ce n'est pas un programme à appliquer : c'est une source d'inspiration, dans laquelle l'enseignant·e puise ce qui sert son cours d'art comme son cours de sport. Il prolonge le cours de formation continue « Sport and Art for Teachers », agréé par le DIP genevois (réf. CO-01614).
It is not a syllabus to apply: it is a source of inspiration teachers draw on for their art lesson as much as for their sports lesson. It extends the "Sport and Art for Teachers" continuing-education course, approved by Geneva's Department of Public Education (DIP, ref. CO-01614).

The publication
Les œuvres retenues au fil des six mois sont publiées et livrées à l'école. L'établissement conserve, sous forme imprimée, ce que ses élèves ont produit pendant le programme — un objet qui reste dans la bibliothèque, se montre aux familles et se transmet à la volée suivante.
The works selected over the six months are published and delivered to the school. The institution keeps, in print, what its students produced during the programme — an object that stays in the library, is shown to families and is passed on to the next intake.

A single poster, composed by Slaven Dizdarević from all the works created during the year. Every class appears in one image, which stays on the school's wall.

The Olympian, from start to finish
Le lien avec un·e olympien·ne court sur les six mois du programme : l'olympien·ne se rend dans l'école à tout moment entre le lancement du projet et l'exposition scolaire, selon l'accord passé avec l'établissement.
The link with an Olympian runs across the six months of the programme: the Olympian visits the school at any time between the project launch and the school exhibition, according to the agreement with the school.

Toutes les écoles publiques, privées et internationales du canton de Vaud, de la 1re à la 11e année de la scolarité obligatoire. Il n'y a pas de catégories d'âge : tous les degrés participent aux mêmes conditions.
All public, private and international schools in the canton of Vaud, from year 1 to year 11 of compulsory schooling. There are no age categories: all levels take part on the same terms.

Le travail en classe court de janvier à mai, au rythme de la classe ; l'exposition collective à Lausanne, Capitale olympique, et la publication ferment le cycle en juin. Les phases se suivent dans l'ordre, sans dates imposées. Un déroulé est suggéré dans le toolkit pédagogique, mais il reste entièrement adaptable : l'école et l'enseignant·e le taillent à leur mesure. Le toolkit sert aussi bien au cours d'art qu'au cours de sport.
The classroom work runs from January to May, at the class's own pace; the collective exhibition in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, and the publication close the cycle in June. The phases follow one another in order, with no imposed dates. The toolkit suggests a way through, but it stays entirely adaptable: the school and the teacher tailor it to their own measure. The toolkit serves the art lesson as much as the sports lesson.
